Hurricane Harvey Relief Kindness

A sincere thank you to Ruth Dougherty and Jen Simmons for sharing their vision and passion to lead an effort in support of others in our world during a time of need. The Hurricane Harvey relief drive demonstrated such a thoughtful response for the students and schools that were directly impacted by the recent catastrophic events. We are so incredibly grateful for the support of the Barkley students, staff, and families, community members, our HSA, as well as C. Raymond Davis & Sons, Inc., and PCEF, for an outpouring of support during Barkley’s Hurricane Harvey relief effort. Thanks to the kindness and generosity of so many, Barkley School amassed 22 boxes (approximately 600 pounds) of new school supplies to send to Haude (pronounced as “How-dee”) Elementary School in Texas. We are thrilled to be able to support other elementary students at the start of a new school year. Thank you to all for your thoughtful contributions of school supplies, backpacks, as well as monetary donations.
