Welcome to Barkley's Counseling Department

We are pleased to enter another school year and give an overview of the services that we provide for students at Barkley Elementary School.

The guidance department is available to assist you with any social and/or emotional concerns.  We do this during the course of the year by seeing students individually, in small groups of four to six students, and by going into classrooms several times during the year for counselor guided lessons.  We look forward to working with you!

Help During Online Learning

Our Elementary Counselors continue to be available to students and parents while we all learn to navigate in this new virtual world.  We are available on school days via email from 8:00am – 3:30pm, as well as scheduling video and/or phone conferences throughout the day.  Please don’t hesitate to reach out to any of us if you need assistance.

How your counselor can help?
• Talk about feelings/worries with your child
• Offer support for families (questions, resources)
• Continue with regular counseling support (grief, emotions, social)

Counselors are available and checking their emails on a regular basis. If you want to talk please email your counselor.
