Third grade has been studying the sun, moon, and stars in the fourth marking period. On a beautiful spring day, Mr. Kryder's class went out to the recess yard for a fun activity involving the sun. Students traced one another's shadows at three different times throughout the day. During this experiment, we observed how the Earth's rotation causes the sun to appear at different location in the sky throughout the day. This makes us have some crazy looking shadows!
